Poetic began with a simple belief: that the greatest truths have already been written, and that finding them should feel like part of an ordinary day.
Why we built it
A line at the right moment can change a whole day.
A line from Keats at seven in the morning can reframe everything that follows. A stanza from Whitman can remind you of your own courage. A verse from Rumi can name a thing you have been feeling for years without the words for it.
Those moments used to live in books on a shelf, waiting to be opened. We wanted them woven into the fabric of a normal day instead, on the home screen, on the lock screen, in the small pauses. Not another feed shouting for attention, but a companion that simply leaves the right words where you will find them.
So we gathered the greats, cleaned and curated every piece by hand, and built a calm way to carry them with you. That is the whole of it.

What it means to be poetic
You’ve always felt the world more deeply than most. You simply never had the words for it.
To be poetic is a way of seeing the world. It is noticing the beauty others walk straight past, and finding meaning in every experience you are given, the joyful and the painful alike, trusting that even sorrow has something to teach and even hardship can be turned into something beautiful. It is keeping wonder and imagination alive where life would rather dull them, choosing to feel deeply and live deliberately, and believing that the smallest moments carry something worth holding on to. Poetic is the daily practice of that mindset: the greatest minds who ever lived, hundreds of them, gathered into your day to remind you to look closer, feel more, and find the meaning waiting inside everything.
And it is remembering that you are not only a reader of these words, but a writer of your own. We are each living out a story, composing a novel line by line, a poem only we can write. To be poetic is to feel every ounce of it, and to take up the pen as the narrator of your own life.

There is no infinite scroll here, and nothing engineered to hold you. Poetic sits quietly on the surfaces you already glance at, and asks nothing of you. We would rather you looked at your phone less and felt a little more.
Only the real thing
Nothing here is invented or manufactured to merely sound wise. Every piece is a real, public-domain work, free of copyright in the United States, written by the people who put into words what the rest of us struggle to say, and already proven by time. These are the words that defined stoicism, romance, courage, and beauty for generations, and we simply carried them to your home screen.
Your life stays yours
There is no account and no login. What you save and choose lives in your own private iCloud, where we cannot see it. Our analytics are anonymous, hold no advertising identifier, and store no location.
It waits on nothing
The whole collection lives on your device. Poetic never spins, never loads, never interrupts. The words are simply always there, the way a good book on the table is always there.
A note from us
We are a small studio, and Poetic is a labour of love before it is a business. We built the app we wanted to live inside: unhurried, beautiful, and full of the voices that have kept people company for centuries.
We do not sell your attention, and we are not trying to win your day. We only hope that now and then a line lands at exactly the right moment, and that it stays with you long after the screen goes dark.
